Does anyone else have a mini (or not so mini) obsession with moving water?
From the moment I stepped onto the property, all I could hear was the sound of rushing water.
As I rounded the corner of an old logging trail, or a previous hunting road (hard to tell), the dramatic view swallowed me whole.
A steep gorge plummeting to mossy boulders, tumbling water, and a 15-20 foot wide creek came into view.
As I followed the roar became louder until I stood on top of a rushing waterfall with a 50 foot drop into an even deeper ravine.
I was stunned.
“I don’t know if we can develop this property, but if we can, this place will be unlike anything else” I said in a video I took for Tanner that day.
And then reality sank in.
This property had been on the market only 14 days (a very short time for land).
But I knew, from the previous 5 months, how fast land with water— let alone an epic waterfall— would be sold.
I felt the urgency to get Tanner to call our real estate agents ASAP.
There was just one problem… I was now 2 miles into our property and had no cell service…
2 miles in and no cell service…

I could feel the FOMO kicking in.
